Standard Imaging was named a winner of the 2019 Wisconsin Innovation Awards in the Health IT category for the development of the revolutionary Exradin W2 Scintillator.
The Wisconsin Innovation Awards (WIA) seek to celebrate and inspire innovation. The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at the Memorial Union in Madison.
"The W2 was a revolutionary addition to Standard Imaging's product line," said Eric DeWerd, President of Standard Imaging. "As the world's only optimal water equivalent detector for small field dosimetry, this product represents a significant step in technology and battle against cancer by more accurately measuring radiation and ultimately its impact on patients."
The Exradin W2 Scintillator’s unrivalled near-water equivalent characteristics produce a more natural dose measurement. The W2 eases data collection by eliminating many measurement corrections required with other detectors.
