Leading Sales Across the North and Midlands: Ben Eccles’ Role at Oncology Imaging Systems

At Oncology Imaging Systems, our team play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers with oncology imaging solutions. One of the team members helping drive this mission forward is Ben Eccles, who recently stepped into the role of Sales Manager after joining the company in January 2025 as an Account Manager.

From Account Manager to Sales Manager
Since joining OIS, Ben has quickly become an important part of the sales team. Following a successful first year with the company, he was promoted to Sales Manager, taking on additional responsibilities and helping to lead sales activity across his territory in the North and Midlands of the UK. While the transition into the role has made for a busy and intense schedule, Ben has embraced the challenge and enjoys the variety that the position brings.
A week in the life of a Sales Manager
No two weeks look the same in Ben’s role. A typical schedule includes forecasting and planning, visiting customers across the region, and contributing to wider business strategy and internal projects. Travel is a significant part of the job, and it’s something Ben particularly enjoys. Meeting customers face-to-face, understanding their needs and maintaining strong professional relationships is a key aspect of his work.

The personal element of the role is one of the things Ben values most. Spending time on the road connecting with healthcare professionals and partners across the country allows him to better understand the challenges they face and how OIS can support them. Whether visiting customers or attending industry conferences, these conversations play an important role in strengthening partnerships and supporting the delivery of innovative oncology imaging solutions.
From collaborating with colleagues on projects to travelling together for meetings and events, he appreciates the supportive and collaborative environment within the company. The opportunity to work closely with the team while helping grow the business makes the role particularly rewarding.

Life outside of work
Outside of work, Ben enjoys staying active and making the most of his downtime. Evenings often include a visit to the gym, while weekends sometimes involve golf lessons (weather permitting). Of course, the time he values most is the chance to relax and spend free evenings with his wife.
