Radiotherapy professionals from across the UK and Ireland ga

thered in Manchester on 22 July for the inaugural Radformation and OIS UK and Ireland User Meeting. The event brought together clinical oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists and radiographers to share practical clinical experience and lessons learned across AI-assisted contouring, adaptive radiotherapy and quality assurance. Throughout the day, attendees exchanged ideas and explored how automation is supporting more efficient workflows and better-informed clinical decisions.

Among the presentations, Dr Jaap Vaarkamp shared North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre’s transition from Limbus Contour to AutoContour 2.7, while Claire Fitzpatrick presented St Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research’s streamlined, RTT-led breast pathway using EZFluence.

Quality assurance was another key focus. Rachel Dunwoody described how St Vincent’s Private Hospital reduced measurement-based patient-specific QA by 56% using ClearCalc and RadMonteCarlo. Bethany Aylward highlighted how the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre is using RadMachine to build a more robust, transparent and auditable machine QA programme.

Professor Luca Nicosia presented IRCCS Sacro Cuore Don Calabria’s early experience with ChartCheck Adaptive, where automated CBCT-based dose recalculation is helping the team assess delivered and accumulated dose, with plans to use these insights during treatment to support decisions around further review or replanning.
