Revolutionising radiation therapy quality assurance with LAP QA hardware solutions

LAP, a valued partner of Oncology Imaging Systems since 1999, stands at the forefront of the market in patient positioning.

In addition to patient positioning, LAP offers a range of quality assurance devices meticulously designed for unparalleled quality control throughout radiation therapy delivery.

Continue reading to delve into four essential products within the LAP QA portfolio: THALES 3D and 3D MR Water Phantoms, EASY Cube and THETIS phantoms.

THALES 3D SCANNER

This motorised water phantom is tailored for commissioning and quality assurance of bore-type LINACs. With a setup time of just 15 minutes and boasting a travel speed of 30 mm/s with an accuracy of 0.25mm.

Distinguished by its autonomy, precision, and user-friendliness, this system prioritises

measurements over setup procedures, saving valuable time. The LAP THALES 3D SCANNER encompasses a holistic package: a carriage system, water phantom, integrated electrometer, and all-inclusive THALES software.

THALES 3D SCANNER has successfully passed the European CE conformity assessment procedure and is validated for use with Varian Halcyon® and Ethos™ machines.

THALES 3D MR SCANNER

Specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of MR LINAC technology, the THALES 3D MR SCANNER enables simple and productive workflows and is suitable for both commissioning and ongoing QA of MR linacs.

With no added tools required for data acquisition, management or evaluation, the data archive offers intelligent search, swift access to measurement sequences and report generation.

EASY CUBE

As a water-equivalent phantom, the EASY CUBE ensures consistent quality assurance in radiation therapy. Tailored to encompass a broad spectrum of tasks, from commissioning and dosimetry to machine QA and patient treatment plan QA, it flexibly adjusts to meet your unique quality assurance needs.

EASY CUBE offers over 1000 testing options and 40 suitable chamber adapters in multiple designs to suit different body regions. This multi-modular phantom is manufactured from water-equivalent RW3 material to maximise quality assurance in radiation therapy; it's easy to use and variable based on specific QA tasks.

THETIS 3D MR DISTORTION PHANTOM

Last but by no means least, the THETIS 3D MR Distortion Phantoms meticulous design is geared toward ensuring impeccable quality assurance of MRI images within radiation therapy and diagnostics. Modular expansion stages allow for optimal scalability, and with 258 signal sources per measurement plate, this phantom plays a pivotal role in swiftly and accurately detecting potential distortions in MR images.

Its suitability for the MR environment is due to the absence of ferromagnetic components;

integrated levelling aids facilitate rapid and straightforward alignment, streamlining the process of achieving a comprehensive 3D assessment of the entire MRI space.
