Radiotherapy products supplied by OIS support world-class veterinary oncology

Oncology Imaging Systems (OIS) is a leading supplier of patient positioning, imaging and immobilisation devices for radiotherapy applications in the UK and Ireland. We are proud to supply a wide range of solutions to veterinary oncology centres, including the University of Edinburgh Hospital for Small Animals, one of the largest oncology centres in Europe providing world-class care for pets diagnosed with cancer.

We were delighted to hear from Emma McCormick, Veterinary Therapeutic Radiographer, who described her experience with our products and solutions. “OIS offers products which are very useful for veterinary patients. The products are ideal to our veterinary setting, very easy to use and not overly time consuming to construct, which is very useful when patients are under general anaesthetic”.

Emma continues, “We have ordered Gel bolus on a number of occasions, both encased and skinless. We find both products contour to patients very well and are easy to work with.”

In addition to the bolus, OIS supplies the Qfix thermoplastic masks, VacQfix and MOLDCARE cushions used to ensure reproducible patient positioning. The Qfix Flat Carbon Fibre Headboard can be used with traditional or Slimline disposable U-Frames, Silverman Head Supports, and MOLDCARE® Head Cushions to enable precise positioning for radiotherapy treatment of the head and neck. The Fibreplast® U-Frame, pictured above, is not only more rigid than other thermoplastics, it also shrinks less and therefore increases patient comfort.
